Progress
Since I do not spend a lot of time on this project anymore( I am hoping to correct that), I haven't made much progress. I am trying to work on this game a bit more. But the next thing I will implement is a battle system

Slime Forest
Project LRNJ: Slime Forest Adventures is a game similiar to my Kanji Game. Actually this game inspired me to make the Kanji Game.
The game (Slime Forest) is still under development but it currently features katakana, hiragana and a growing list of kanji.
The game is a old school SNES rpg ( Typical save the princess scenario). In this game too you need to save the princess from the gooey slimes. While it is quite playable and fun, it is actually just a prototype.
When you enter a battle you face slimes with a Japanese Letter or Word above their head. You then have to correctly answer the question to kill the slime.
From may point of view this game teaches Japanese fairly well, though this will differ from person to person.

Learning Japanese
The reason why I started this project was to learn Japanese. Learning, or studying anything is not quite fun. So I kinda figured that by making a game, which actually helps me learn, Japanese, I would enjoy the process a whole lot more.

New Approach
Main Menu
I have decided to approach development entirely new. So I have begun to create this anew. This time I will focus on a extensible map editor with scripting abilities in order to minimize programming and build time. This will also allow for a non-linear map system.I will use my old Kanji List which includes 2000 kanji. It uses the Heisig Index.
